Rigas Ritmi 2024 Highlights

The Rīgas Ritmi Festival will celebrate its 25th anniversary this year in early July. Representatives of the American new wave of jazz – the jazz-funk band Kennedy Administration and singer Shayna Steele with the premiere of the Latvian Maestro Raimonds Pauls song program Shayna Steele sings Raimonds Pauls – will also celebrate together with the festival team.
 

Continuing the rearranging of Latvian folk music and the compositions by legendary Latvian composers in the jazz genre, the album Latgalian Evergreens by the Māris Briežkalns quintet dedicated to the Latgale region in Latvia has been released.

Evaluating the artistic program, organizational quality and significance in the international circuit, the European Festival Association has again awarded the Rīgas Ritmi Festival with the prestigious EFFE Label quality mark.
